We are proud to announce that in January 2024, KU opened KU Monash Children’s Centre and Kindergarten after partnering with Monash University to transition from the previous service, Windermere Early Learning Centre.

The well-located Children’s Centre and Kindergarten is co-located on the site of the Monash University in Frankston, Victoria. The newly transitioned service is approved to offer up to 76 places from birth to under 6 years open Monday to Friday and Monash Peninsula staff and students are eligible for a 10% discount.

The service offers 5 playrooms that open onto a common playground. The rooms are divided into Explorers: babies under 1 year old, Discoverers: young toddlers 1-2 years old, Investigators: toddlers 2 years old, Researchers: 3 years old and Scientists: 4 years old.

The service is guided by qualified and experienced teachers, educators and admin staff and benefits from an on-site chef who provides healthy nutritious food daily based on the individual child’s requirements.

Working in partnership with Monash University, the service has been built to facilitate observations of children by students the Monash University where the playrooms have adjoining observation rooms where the university students can observe children without disturbing their learning and play.

KU is proudly not-for-profit and committed to supporting exceptional outcomes for children and families as well as creating optimal experiences for staff. Part of the KU Difference is the high level of support provided to our teachers, educators, and other service-based staff through the expertise of KU’s Central Office teams.

As we deliver leading high-quality inclusive play-based learning programs, KU continues to provide opportunities and nurture children to find their voice.
