Supported Playgroups

KU Supported Playgroups are designed to enhance the development of your child and to prepare them for their next educational setting.

We offer opportunities for you and your child to meet and chat with other families and to share your experiences and knowledge within a safe and friendly environment.

Our staff are qualified early childhood educators and provide a program that is challenging and interesting for your child. In our playgroup sessions, staff provide oral and written information on child development, individual support to families who may be experiencing issues regarding their children’s development, information and referral to local community services, child health and other topics of interest to families. Places are limited, so please indicate your interest by contacting the relevant Playgroup site below.

Supported Playgroups are facilitated in Public Schools, Community Centres and Church Halls. All playgroups operate in the morning with a varying start and end time.

KU works in partnership with the Benevolent Society, Multicultural Neighbourhood Centre Lambton, Northern Settlement Services, The Smith Family and Mission Australia, to assist families where needed.
