About this service

Our program and approach

When children play and explore, their imagination and curiosity are sparked – they enjoy learning and are inspired to continue learning more.

Our play-based program intentionally provides a wide range of engaging opportunities and activities based on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

We put emphasis on building strong, respectful and reciprocal relationships with children and families. Our key educator approach assigns one educator to a small group, establishing consistency and familiarity. This in turn supports positive engagement and learning.

Our boys joined KU Maidstone in October 2023, at 6 months old. I could not be happier with the staff and management of KU. The Educators are engaging with the children, lots of outdoor time and we are kept well informed of their progress and day to day activities. Not just the Key Educators, but all the team at KU Maidstone have taken the time to get to know me and I know that while I’m not in the position to be home with them full time, this is the next best place for them to be.

My son started attending KU Maidstone Children's Centre in May 2023, and I couldn't be happier with our choice. He enjoys his time there immensely and always seems happy when I pick him up.As a not-for-profit centre, KU Maidstone is relatively small compared to other daycares in the area, which means my son receives full attention. All the educators genuinely enjoy what they do and show great care for the kids. The facilities are always clean, and I love that they bring the children to play in the outdoor area whenever the weather permits. They have a variety of activities throughout the day that keep the kids engaged and active. The centre serves nutritious food with a good variety, and I know my son always eats well. Overall, I'm very glad my husband and I chose to send our son to KU Maidstone Children's Centre. Highly recommended!

This centre is absolutely outstanding and goes above and beyond to support all children and their individual needs and development. The daily information, supports and connections with children is so evident within every room and I am so thrilled to have found this beautiful centre. The classrooms are organized, calm and engaging and the deep knowledge of each child and their individual needs within the entire team of educators is evident.

i can not recommend Ku Maidstone highly enough.the Staff are warm, friendly and accommodating; and the vibe i get is that they genuinely happy to be there and care about my son. (i dont get this feeling from the big corporate-owned childcares from the surrounding suburbs).the centre is clean and the set up is amazing. i can tell the safety of the children is front and centre in the outdoor setting design.i will miss all of the staff when we leave.
