What is a supported playgroup?
A supported playgroup is a facilitated face-to-face group session for parents and guardians of young children (birth to 5 years) that provides an educational and supportive environment for development and social connection.
The KU team of highly trained early childhood facilitators provide a range of play-based and age-appropriate activities that are shared weekly with families.
Parents are supported by a range of parenting resources, provided access to community networks, and are guided how to identify any developmental concerns. Referrals to other community and health professionals are offered to those families who request additional supports.
The supported playgroup is a soft entry point for families to learn and engage in a fun educational environment with their child. To view our locations, go to Supported Playgroups.
Once you have submitted the form, please wait for us to contact you before you attend a session. Walk-ins are not permitted. All children must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
