The staff, children and families from KU Marcia Burgess ASELCC and KU Liverpool Preschool enjoyed a barbeque together to celebrate International Day for People with a Disability.

During the evening, each child was presented with a beautiful quilt, handmade by the quilting group “Stichin’ Mission” from St Mark’s Anglican Church.

This church was another organisation to which Marcia Burgess dedicated a large part of her life. The quilt makers are eager to help carry on Marcia’s legacy of supporting children with additional needs and have said, “It’s our prayer that, as each child snuggles into the softness of our quilts, they will feel all the love that has gone into them”.

The evening was funded by a $1000 grant from FaHCSIA.
