KU Children’s Services was pleased to welcome NSW Minister for Families and Communities and Minister for Disability Inclusion, Kate Washington MP, to KU Peninsula Preschool last week as part of Early Learning Matters Week celebrations.
During her visit, Minister Washington met with Cherylanne Williams, General Manager of Early Childhood Education, Kathryn Stone, Director of KU Peninsula Preschool, and Jennifer Green, Education Quality Manager, to learn more about the preschool’s longstanding connection with the local community and its commitment to delivering high-quality early childhood education.
For many years, KU Peninsula Preschool has partnered with generations of local families, providing children with inclusive, play-based learning experiences that support their development, wellbeing and lifelong learning.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss the important role that quality early childhood education plays in building connected, inclusive and thriving communities, while highlighting the impact of strong partnerships between educators and families.
“We were delighted to welcome Minister Washington to KU Peninsula Preschool during Early Learning Matters Week and to share firsthand the vital role early childhood education plays in supporting children, families and communities,” Christine Legg said.
