Brisbane based child care centre, The Joey Club was recently awarded Queensland Children’s Service of the year at The Australian Family Child Care awards held in Sydney. The Joey Club Brisbane is a work based child care centre for Qantas, managed by KU.

“We are honoured and proud The Joey Club Brisbane has won this award, says Lisa Pikulyk, Director of The Joey Club. “It is wonderful to be a part of an award ceremony which recognises the importance of providing high quality early childhood education and care.”

The event was attended by The Hon Linda Burney MP, NSW Minister for Community Services and representatives of various children’s services associations.

The awards celebrate excellence in child care. They aim to encourage Australians working in all sectors of child care to aspire to excellence and help to raise awareness for the remarkable work being done in child care every day.

The Joey club was nominated by parents of children who attend the centre and was one of 43 nominations from around Queensland.
