KU Chester Hill Children’s Centre officially reopened their new preschool playground on 4 November.

The old yard was demolished and has been completely redesigned to expand the outdoor area and provide the 0-3 year olds with an exciting new play area, away from the older children.

The new playground was designed based on sustainable principles and includes stepping stones, a vegetable garden and natural areas where the children can explore the natural environment.

“The new playground is an exciting addition to our centre and will enable the children to develop an understanding about sustainability by exploring the natural world around them” said Director Stacey Sholkie.

Local Mayor, Khal Asfour, and KU CEO, Chris Legg attended the reopening celebrations which included a performance by the children singing a few of their favourite songs.
