KU Koala Preschool was officially opened by The Hon. Adrian Piccoli MP, and Wagga Wagga City Mayor, Cr Kerry Pascoe on Friday 1 June.

The new state-of-the-art preschool has recently relocated from its original location at Trail Street to 61 Murray Street in Wagga Wagga and offers large, open spaces and natural light. The new preschool building also boasts an increased capacity of 40 children per day, meaning 10 additional children can now attend KU Koala each day.

The Hon Adrian Piccoli MP, Mayor Kerry Pascoe and KU CEO, Christine Legg officiated the formalities held in the preschool playground, and the ceremony was attended by other local Council representatives, KU staff, parents and children, as well as guests from the local community.

The children took part in the opening celebrations by singing some of their favourite songs and then helping to cut the KU Cake.

The relocation of KU Koala Preschool has been a joint project of KU Children’s Services, Wagga Wagga City Council and local property developer, Damasa, and received funding from the NSW Preschool Growth Program.
