The Tree House has celebrated the 125th anniversary of KU Children’s Services (KU).

The theme of the celebration was ‘making a difference through 125 years of social impact and early education’ and The Tree House recognised the special milestone by taking part in a book drive, with the aim of collecting 125 new books to donate to the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (ALNF).

“The ALNF conducts a book share program for preschools and childcare centres in need,” said The Tree House Director, Kylie Anderson.

“The books will be used throughout a range of remote areas, and in particular and importantly for our team, in regional Indigenous communities, refugee and marginalised communities.”

“The children have loved sharing some of their favourite books, knowing that they will be going to other children who will also enjoy them,” said Kylie.
