KU Craigieburn Children’s Centre was officially opened by KU CEO, Christine Legg on Thursday 31 May.

The children’s centre is a brand new, purpose-built long day care service for children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years old. KU Craigieburn can cater for up to 60 children per day and offers an excellent learning environment for young children, with specifically designed indoor play spaces and a large outdoor play area.

KU Craigieburn and is located within the Craigieburn Family and Children’s Service Centre, which was constructed as a joint project between the Commonwealth, State Government and Hume City Council. In addition to KU’s long day care service, the facility also offers sessional preschool for 4 year olds, and a Maternal and Child Health service.

“Families in Craigieburn have long been waiting for this long day care component of the building to open,” said Jacinta Barnes, KU State Manager (Victoria).

“We are pleased to welcome so many local children and families to the wider KU family.”
