KU Randwick Coogee Preschool has celebrated their 60th anniversary of providing quality early childhood education and care to local families by holding a community event recently.

The special event was attended by Mayor of Randwick, Councillor Kathy Neilson, Member for Coogee, Dr Marjorie O'Neill MP, KU Children’s Services CEO, Christine Legg, and many children, families and past and present staff from the preschool.

“We had a fabulous morning celebrating our 60th anniversary and it was lovely to recognise this special milestone with our preschool and the wider community,” said KU Randwick Coogee Director, Karen Penfold.

“There were speeches recognising the history of our preschool and the importance of our community, a memory lane exhibition featuring photos, artworks and memorabilia created by children from previous years and many activities for the children.”

“We were also very proud to have raised over $1,000 on the day through our cake stall which we plan to put towards new equipment for our outdoor areas for the children to use,” said Karen.

KU Randwick Coogee provides quality early childhood education for children aged 3 - 5 years and is currently taking enrolments. For more information, contact the Director, Karen Penfold on 9398 3982.
