KU North Ryde Preschool has celebrated 50 years of providing quality early childhood education and care to local families by holding a community event last week.

The special event was attended by children, families and staff from the preschool, with the celebrations including morning tea, speeches, a display of photographs recognising the history of the preschool and activities for the children including a Kindifarm.

“We had a fabulous day celebrating our 50th anniversary. The weather was kind to us, the centre looked amazing and we had a feast fit for a king,” said KU North Ryde Director, Donna Clark.

“Topping it off was all the fun and excitement that a visit from Kindifarm brings. Just looking at the children's faces said it all. They really had a ball being able to interact with the animals by patting and feeding them.”

The preschool, which first opened its doors in 1967, has a close relationship with the local community and has played an important role in the lives of many children and families from North Ryde over years.

“KU North Ryde is a very special place. We are blessed with a strong preschool community that consists of some pretty amazing children and fabulous parents. Thank you so much to everyone who made the day so special,” said Donna.
