Laura’s outstanding leadership during her Board tenure from 2012-2021 was demonstrated in the high level of diligence and experience she bought to the role, giving her time and expertise freely.

Laura’s energy and deep belief in the work of KU Children’s Services and our commitment to providing high quality early childhood education and care, has resulted in her earning the deep respect of all staff across the organisation.

Her expertise in corporate law and governance was invaluable to assisting to improve the management and reporting of KU’s finances, KU’s corporate governance policies and procedures, and meeting procedures.

Throughout COVID-19, Laura’s support of the CEO and the Executive team was a significant and commendable factor in the management of the pandemic and strong financial performance in a year of such uncertainty and challenges.

Laura held numerous Board and Committee position since 2012, including:

  • Board Chair (2017 to 2021)
  • Governance Committee Member (2012 to 2015)
  • Audit and Risk Management Committee Member (2015 to 2020)
  • People & Remuneration Committee Member (2017 to 2021)
  • Education Committee Chair (2020 to 2021)

KU is sincerely grateful to Laura for her significant contribution in making KU a much stronger organization. She has left a wonderful lasting legacy.

Laura’s lifelong history with KU started in her early childhood years when she attended a KU preschool and then later as a parent where her children attended KU Chatswood. Since leaving the Board, Laura has joined the Alumni family to continue her connection with KU.
