Testimonials

Qantas

The Joey Clubs [Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane] are child care centres built by Qantas, and tailored for the provision of quality child care for children under 6 years and focussing on the care for babies 0-2 years old. KU manages the Joey Clubs across the three eastern seaboard states. ...Through the provision of quality care KU and Qantas support parents in their return to work after parental leave, and in the continuance of their careers. The retention of talent and the return on training investment, are of great benefit, especially in a skill shortage market. Like Qantas, KU is an Australian company with a long history and a proud track record for safety and supporting families - the spirit of Australia."

Stockland

"A key focus for the design of our Sydney head office refurbishment was sustainability, and this focus flowed through to the development of our childcare centre. In choosing a partner to manage our childcare centre, we looked for an organisation that was aligned with our commitment to sustainability and could help us create a collaborative, stimulating learning environment for children. KU demonstrated these commitments, and we are confident that our childcare centre provides our employees and their children with a high standard of care, in an environmentally preferable centre."

North Sydney Council

"KU Children's Services have been delivering both long day, out of school hours care and preschool services in North Sydney for more than two decades. Greenwood Long Day Care Centre, and Grandstand and Cammeray preschools are both in premises owned and managed by Council, and leased to KU. This I believe is an indication of the immense value Council places on the contribution to affordable quality childcare that KU brings to our community.

Council has always found the service delivery by KU to be of the highest quality - including head office support for local services, as well as the quality of staff KU attracts to manage and staff the centres.

KU has always been a willing partner with Council in exploring new possibilities - whether it has been a joint venture with a local State School, upgrading of premises to allow for an increase in pupil numbers, or the strategically important but sensitive issue of reviewing priority of access.

I recommend KU to any organisation looking for an outstanding provider of childcare service to families, within a not-for-profit environment"

Martin Ellis, Director, Community & Library Services, North Sydney Council.

Concord Family & Day Care Co-operative Limited

"We recently transferred our community based, not-for-profit long day care centre to KU Children's Services, and based on our experience with KU to date I can highly recommend KU. KU were very supportive during the whole process, from our initial discussions and information gathering, through the consultation period with staff and families, and through the actual transfer process itself.

Our transfer involved some very complicated legal agreements and conditions as a result of our previous standing agreements with the Commonwealth and with Council, and KU were extremely professional and helpful in ensuring that these ongoing obligations were met.

Our centre is now operating as KU Concord Children's Centre, and we are very happy. I have attached a copy of the post transfer newsletter that presents the final speech the Board delivered to the members, in which our praises for KU were sung very loudly!" (newsletter available on request)

Ku-ring-gai Council

"I am an elected councillor on Ku-ring-gai Council in Sydney's northern suburbs. In that capacity I was invited last year to join the Mayor of Ku-ring-gai to visit Bradfield Park Long Day Care Centre, Lindfield, which lies within the Ward I represent.

Council leases the property and land to the child care centre and had been approached for help by the parent management committee which was struggling with the onerous demands of managing the centre. The management committee was close to having insufficient parent committee members and so I was asked if I would assist as a member of the Committee after the parent body voted to outsource management to a professional child care provider service. I was subsequently elected President of the management committee and, along with other members of the committee, undertook a thorough search and analysis of possible providers.

Presentations were made to the parent body with opportunities for extensive questioning and detailed responses. Overwhelmingly the parent body selected KU Children's Services as our provider of choice.

Immediately following this decision KU acted to support the operation of our centre in a myriad of ways, including the provision of urgently needed staff and advice. In the months that have followed, we have continued to receive all the support we needed and successfully seen a smooth transition of management to KU Children's Services. This was achieved to the timeline that was established early on in the process.

Our parent body has been very satisfied with the change of management, with the level of support and professionalism of KU and its staff and, most importantly, with the care provided to the children of our Centre.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with KU and have no hesitation in recommending KU Children's Services to others. I can be contacted on the number below for further information."
