KU Hebersham Preschool Celebrates National Families Week

During May, the staff at KU Hebersham Preschool held their family day as part of National Families Week. The aim of the day was to provide experiences to share in together, enhance relationships and to facilitate building and strengthening of the children's language and literacy skills.
Families enjoyed exploring a variety of experiences together including talking to a motorbike rider, investigating racing car parts, observing and petting animals, making banana muffins and painting.
Parents and staff involved the children by participating in shared conversations, questions and discussions about the different activities throughout the day.
The event was a great success and the children continue to reflect on what was learnt by revisiting the day through the photo books created by the preschool staff.
