Our play-based learning philosophy
Due to open in the middle of 2012, KU Faulconbridge Children’s Centre offers a brand new, purpose-built long day care service for children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years old.
Designed by Architect, Graeme Butler, the centre will offer an excellent learning environment for young children, with specifically designed indoor play spaces and a large outdoor play area.
The centre will provide early childhood education for a maximum of 48 children each day, with up to 12 babies in the 0-2 years room, 16 toddlers in the 2-3 years room, and 20 preschoolers in the 3-5 years room.
The high quality educational program will be guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, and feature both play-based learning activities and intentional teaching for each child.
The centre will employ qualified, experienced KU educators, including university qualified Early Childhood Teachers, Child Care Workers, administration staff, and an on-site Cook.
