Permanent	A position of ongoing nature.
Temporary	A position of limited timeframe. Temporary Contract positions are used generally to cover for current KU employees who are taking: - Parental Leave - Leave Without Pay - Long Service Leave
Full-Time	In preschool services 38 hours per week worked Monday to Friday. In long day care services 38 hours per week worked as 40 hours per week Monday to Friday - receiving a Roster Day Off (RDO). There are some variations to this arrangement in our Melbourne centres, where some staff work a 9 day (76 hour) fortnight with an RDO.
Part-Time	Times and days of work vary according to the child care centres' requirements. KU also offers job share positions.

Traineeship	Traineeship programs are currently being trialled by KU. To enquire about child care industry traineeship please contact Illawarra Business College.
